Comparison

Looking for a CaseGuard alternative?

CaseGuard Studio is a capable tool — built for law enforcement and government agencies, and priced accordingly: $299 per user, per month.

That is roughly $3,600 per person, per year — and it renews whether you redacted two hundred clips that year or two. For a three-person office, it is over $10,000 a year, every year.

If you run a school, a care home, a clinic or a building management office, the job is usually narrower: mask the faces and plates in a clip, lock the file down, hand it over. That is what Re:Mask does — and it is licensed per machine, not per seat, per month.

What you get

Everything in Re:Mask, included.

No per-seat upsell — this is the product.

AI detection

Finds every person and vehicle across the timeline — no frame-by-frame scrubbing.

Four masking modes

AI-auto, select-object, manual and region — mixed freely on one clip.

Fully offline

Runs on your own PC. No upload, no cloud, no internet connection required.

Encrypted export

Ship a sealed, password-protected .innoflow file instead of a bare MP4.

Dedicated player

The recipient opens the file in the Re:Mask Player with a password — nowhere else.

Playback limits

Bind each release to an expiry date and a play-count cap. When the window closes, it stops opening.

Screen capture blocking

The player blocks screen recording while the footage is on screen.

Watermarking

Composite a text or image watermark onto the output, pinned to any of five positions.

Honest fit

Which one is right for you?

Re:Mask is the better fit when…

  • You need to control the footage after it leaves your hands — encryption, an expiry date, a play-count cap.
  • One person handles this occasionally, with no dedicated IT team and no training budget.
  • A recurring per-seat monthly licence is hard to justify for work you do a few times a month.
  • The footage must never leave the building — no cloud, no upload, no internet.

CaseGuard Studio is the better fit when…

  • You need to redact audio as well as video — CaseGuard advertises audio redaction; Re:Mask does not do it.
  • You need document redaction in the same workflow — CaseGuard sells that; Re:Mask does not.
  • You are running large-scale evidence-disclosure workflows across a whole team.
  • You want a single vendor covering video, audio and documents together.

If any of those apply, CaseGuard is genuinely the better choice. Re:Mask does one job — redacting video and getting it out safely — and does not pretend to do the rest.

See whether Re:Mask fits your footage.

We will walk you through it on your own files — offline, on your own machine.
